Grandparents Class

Soon to be grandparents might feel that it has been a long time since you were around babies, or this might be you, soon about to add a baby to the family, who might be thinking this about your own parents. Perhaps, your heart may tell you that gaining more information could help you feel more confident—and this class will certainly provide that.

However, the goal of this class is NOT to teach you how to hold a baby or change diapers, even though we will touch on some helpful tricks, such as techniques for soothing a baby to sleep. The primary aim of this class is to empower you to optimize the care and support you provide to the birthing family.

We will delve into the realities of postpartum life for a family, exploring how well-intentioned family members can either be incredibly helpful or unintentionally add to the burden.

I decided to create this class after hearing hundreds heartfelt stories from mothers and fathers about their loved ones. While many family members genuinely want to help, their actions may result in additional stress for the new parents during this delicate time.

In this class, grandparents will hear real-life stories gathered from a little over a decade of supporting families through this major life transition. These stories offer invaluable insights into the unique needs of new parents. By the end of the class, you will leave with practical skills and strategies to become a true source of support and encouragement during your child’s postpartum journey.
